We're still getting snow here in Colorado - but looking forward to having a few thunderstorms in the coming weeks! Thanks for the great words and imagery.
Do you have a recommendation for any physical calendars that track the microseasons? I'd love to have something like this newsletter on my desk as a perpetual reminder!
Not physical, but the Utsukushii Kurashikata Institute, from whom the header images in this newsletter are taken, offer a premium app on iPhone and Android called "72 Seasons" which has an English version!
Fūjin and Raijin caused quite a ruckus here in North Carolina yesterday-- right on cue! I like seeing how weather conditions here closely follow the microseasons of Japan. Thank you for your writing. I always learn so much!

From what I can see, the more mountainous areas of Japan are similar. Here's hoping the weather isn't too bad where you are!
I'd be remiss not to mention one of the major inspirations for this newsletter, who do in fact offer gorgeous physical calendars: 543 Life
Their "Moon and Koyomi" series is available at the moment - https://543life.net/?mode=grp&gid=2756990
(Worldwide shipping available, but no English site UI so you may need to feed it into Google Translate!)
This year's Hobonichi Techo also features the 24 Sekki, and are great little planners with a (much deserved) cult following.
